Tommy, an all-black kitty, see http://www.bayareacatrescue.org/adop...at.php?id=1667 (they have not updated the website yet to reflect the fact that he has been adopted)

Since childhood, I have wanted an all-black kitty. Besides the appearance, Tommy boasts the most wonderful disposition.

My plan was to adopt him if I get a permanent job. I did not get the job. But the head of our local cat rescue agency started suggesting Tommy to people looking to adopt and I decided that I did not want to let him go. So he is now mine. And he finally started eating healthy wet food - his prior owner who lost him together with the condo he had to sell due to recession fed Tommy dry food only, which is not healthy for kitties. It took me months to get Tommy to eat wet food, but we are finally there.

I have notified the former owner who cares about Tommy. Now he will know that Tommy is in good hands - he is no longer a foster kitty, but rather has been adopted.

So that's my good news.

The bad news: when ex was helping me vacate the old apartment, he found a heap of... cat poop. Must be from Maddy, because Adele and Tommy are on their best behavior. And she has already pooped and peed in the new apartment, on the carpet. I am using a special Cat Attract litter as a last resort and if she does not start using it 100% of the time, she will have to be placed somewhere else by the cat rescue agency. I cannot deal with a kitty who does not use the litter box properly. I like her very much but my patience has its limits.
