Good for the new kitty....I used to have an all black girl I named Emily. She was an inside outside cat. When she was a kitten she got into the engine of my neighbors car. She lived and was at the vets for a week but as she grew older about 9 she started to get confused and forgot sometimes where she lived. I would look for her and she would run to me as if to say "why did you move the house?"..It was then we kept her in as a permanent house kitty(we had four at the time). Well one day the door got opened and out went Emily. We tried to catch her but she got away. We never found her. We put signs up etc but to no avail. I am sure she suffered a brain injury as a kitten in the engine of the car. While we had her she had one beautiful litter of kittens. She was the best mom!
Re: black kitties......bad people around seem to think killing or nabbing black cats at halloween is the thing. Be careful not just at halloween but at other times. Weird people out there!!
