Except for the kitten I just got, who is mostly black, I have always adopted adult cats, and usually one's with problems. I'm a sucker for "lost causes". I always try to pick the animal least likely to be adopted because someone has to. My red tabby Moe, has an odd shaped face that makes him weeze and is prone to sinus infections, and my other cat Gizzie has extra toes and when I got her, she had slipped a foot through a collar that imbedded under her front leg that was severly infected, and she had worms incredibly bad. They are both healthy and happy now, and my T says that the cats are the best kind of therapy I can have when my moods start going out of whack. She says it's really hard to be angry or depressed when playing with a kitty. (Although sometimes the little kitten makes me want to strangle him cause he likes to be bad. But it's okay, he'll grow out of it eventually. I hope)
