Having a girlfriend won't necessarily make you happy. It means having your own problems and her problems in addition to yours. It doesn't even guarantee sex on a regular basis. To the extent that you do manage to get sex in the bargain, it probably won't be as satisfying as you think it will. Your happiness has to come from yourself and it has to come first. Then more people will want to be around you and some of them will be women. Then that special relationship will come along. You will get a chance to see what you like about being with her and what you do not like, so you will choose better the next time around.
