I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, OCD, anxiety and depression.
My current therapist diagnosed me with PTSD and leaning towards dissociation disorder. I have many past traumas. From child neglect to sexual abuse to car accidents and I never been officially diagnosed with PTSD. Sorry just venting here. It would have been nice to know earlier on so I get the most accurate treatment.

most if not all people that are not diagnosed with a dissociative "disorder" who have depersonalization symptoms have the symptoms but they are well with in the normal ranges.
dissociation including depersonalization has many different severity including a normal range.
depression and PTSD do carry, and mimic some of the same symptoms that depersonalization does, which mayor may not be why you havent been diagnosed with the severity that is needed for the diagnostic label of depersonalization disorder. your symptoms may fit those with in the depression and PTSD range instead of the depersonalization disorder range.
to find out if your range of dissociative symptoms is in the normal range or in the "disordered" range you can undergo diagnostic testing which includes many different types of tests including medical, mental and educational/IQ evaluations.
