Hi darkeyes, I am new here and was browsing when I stumbled on yor post here. I have hypothyroidism... I had nodules on my thyroid that were shrunken with iodine treatment, whcih of course made the gland become inactive.

However, I still have symptoms even though i am on synthroid. The reason, fibromyalgia.It has many of the same symptoms as hypothyroiodism and is almost ALWAY overlookd so much that people end up feeling disregarded by doctors.

We often get told there is nothing wrong... no reason for what we are experiencing. See, fibromyalgia has many other symptoms besides depression and low energy and tenderness. Widespread pain.. flu-like aches and pains... cognitive difficulties.. and many many more... maybe you should check into it just to be sure.
