hello hun,
i would like to say something to you, if you dont mind. i also have bipolar II, and i can say from experience that starting and stopping meds off and on, isnt good for you. for one, you may or may not be giving the meds adequate time to work properly to stabilize your moods. plus, as you stop and start them, you lessen their chance of working right. take it from someone whos been there done it. ive started and stopped meds, god knows how many times and i do regret it, because they have in turn had to be switched to different dosages to compensate for my abruptly stopping them, or had to be changed all together. i know its a pain in the *** to have to take pills everyday, just to function normally in everyday life, but it is something that is vital. please take this time to assess your situation and to find out what is best for you in the long run. if meds are what you need, take them. if you feel they arent beneficial to you, then you might need to re-assess the situation with your p-doc or gp. let us know how things go. im here if you need to talk.
