Hi lorieann,
Sorry that your Psych is reacting this way to your honesty. I probably went thru 30 meds before finding the right ones for me. It's not unusual for people to go thru a lot of trial and error before finding what's right for them. Our docs know that. Some are a lot more patient than others. Mine has the patience of a saint. I know there are a few here that have had good luck with Buspar, but most of what I've heard, and from my own experience, it doesn't seem to work for most people. The klonopin should help you, but watch what you take. It is a very addictive drug if taken to excess. I've taken it for about three years, and I take one week off every month from it just to detox my system a bit.
Again, I'm sorry to hear that your doc wasn't a little more realistic and receptive to what you're going thru. I wish you all the best with the new med. I know how debillitating anxiety can be when it's out of control.
Take care,
Greg
P.S. Good for you for standing up for yourself. We gotta do what's best for us, right?
