Its a very hard thing to come to terms with. It took me a couple of years to even believe the doctors and start taking the meds. Im glad I finally believed them though because I was becoming a danger to myself. I ran up 20,000 in debt in 2wks, I ran out on my family for a whole year. It was time that I realized what was going on and i hope my family likes the new me too. So happy your family lets you know that they appreciate the new you.
