I would not be impressed if my doctor did that. That is very unprofessional, but he is right he can't always change the meds, but what he said to make you feel like that is wrong.

If you are feeling uncomfortable with him, and think that he is no longer giving you the support that you need, can he reffer you to someone else? Rolling eyes? Wow i've never had that happen, I think i'd snap if it did.
