I don't think you need to backstabbed to survive.

This person has come to me many times saying bad things about others then, face to face with them, she would be all nice and friendly.

I always give the benifit of a doubt to anyone.

I heard this person talking bad about me while I was standing about 10 feet from her. She had her back to me and couldn't see me.

I knew before this happened that I was being lay off today for shortage of work. It will give me time to get over this one and I will be on my gard when I will return back to work. But then I never let myself get close to coworkers so I wasn't close to her. I have been backstabbed too many times.
