like I stated in this other thread of yours with this same topic /issue

there is no present up to date versions of the mmpi online. and you must know which version of the mmpi your therapist wants you to take.
if this test is being used as a lets get to know you and what you need to work on in therapy type things all you have to do is tell your therapist you are concerned about how long it will take you. since its not for diagnostic purposes you dont have to sit there and take it all at once. you do as much as you what when you want or even take it home with you and bring it back to her.
if its for diagnostics, Im sorry but for diagnosing mental disorders taking the mmpi alone will not tell you and your therapist what mental disorders there are..
example of the present ACS4EDI version (there are many different mmpi teststhat are given depending upon your age and what is being looked for, this version is given to adults)
I like peanutbutter better than you like spinach check off your answer yes, no never always sometimes.
I like dancing more than I like playing the drums mark your answer
I sometimes think about death (mark your answer)
I like peanuts more than green vegetables (mark your answer)
I sometimes think about harming myself (mark your answer)
I like painting more than I like going to a bar (mark your answer)
I sometimes think people dont like me (mark your answer)
I sometimes hear voices (mark your answer)
I sometimes think people are watching me (mark your answer)
now lets annalyze this yes I like peanut butter then vegetables /spinach (so do millions of normal people in the world) I sometimes think about death and suicide, (so do millions of normal people in the world)...
every one of the questions on the mmpi are like this and taken by itself just tells you and the treatment provider your likes and you may be completely normal and just like millions of other normal people in the world.
taken alone the mmpi does not diagnose or tell someone what their mental disorders are. its just like taking the tests that are here on psych central.. it doesnt give you any real answers it just tell you how you are and what you like and dont like at the moment you are answering the questions..
for diagnostic purposes in americal the only way to find out what mental disorders you really have is by going to a mental health provider that has been trained to give the diagnostic testing process and going through the whole process..
which here in NY is going to a psychiatrist, talking with that psychiatrist. the psychiatrist asks you questions and gives no less then three kinds of tests, only one is the MMPI, another one like the mmpi and an oral test, along with an IQ test. they also observe you during the testing procedure to verify you are not thinking in depth about the answers, you are answering them off the top of your head, and dont appear to have memorized your answers.
your therapist can refer you to a psychiatrist that can administer the MMPI for diagnostic purposes and she can give you the mmpi to take home of during your therapy sessions for non diagnostic purposes.
