If my therapist came into the office with a new tattoo, I'd probably think, "Oh lord, she's having a late-age crisis!" It would be rather unexpected behavior from a rabbi's wife.

But having a therapist with a tattoo wouldn't make me not like them (as long as they weren't something blatantly offensive or provocative). It would make me have assumptions about them that may or may not be accurate, but most would be either neutral or positive.
