Its been a while, so I thought I would post again. Hopefully to help others that may be going through this... Although I'm not the same guy I used to be, I am so much better than I was, when I first contacted this forum.
I'm not going to have to go before a Medical Evaluation Board, my psychologist says I'm doing fine (it's "only" taken 5 medications throughout the day)... So, I think I can make it my last 4 years to retirement.
I'm no longer in my flying career

. I do miss it, a lot. Especially this time of year, when we are doing a lot of shooting (yes, I do enjoy the adrenaline rush of killing, it may be a sin, but it is addictive), but it is now in my past.
I've moved into a more administrative/command role. It's amazing how much Airmen have changed since I first came in... If a MSgt (E-7) asked me as and E-3 to do something when I came in, that meant in my head to do it right now...
With these kids, it seems to mean, when you have the time, between your break, lunch, and checking your status on Face Book; If you happen to remember, you might think about actually looking into doing what I've asked... But, only if I have made sure that you have all the supplies you need to do the task directly in front of you. Or else obviously, you simply can't get it done. Also, be sure to not tell me that you where unable to accomplish your mission, because since I asked you, that is really my responsibility...
There is life after PTSD, or at least you can minimize it's effects, if you actively seek out help!
This forum is a good start, but you have to move beyond this, into a real office, with a real doctor, and if you go no farther than that then you have done more than you are right now...
Thank you so very much for this resource, and I thank God for letting me find this forum.
I probably will forget to post again (I have a really bad memory, PTDS related) so thank you all, and good night.
