My T doesn't have any tattoos. I don't judge her for NOT having them, though I might like it if she did

Really, this is such a generational question. A few decades ago, tattoos were associated with criminals, bikers, hooligans, and prostitutes. Now, almost everyone under 30 has tattoos-- including professionals. Virtually everyone I know has tattoos: I'm a college professor; my sister's a lawyer; my best friend is a businessman. Now, professionals in business suits compare their tattoos and ask one another what they mean. T has also asked me what my tattoos mean and, when I got my most recent one (in a "covered" location), she asked to see it as well. So, T got to the see the new tattoo as well as a little torso and boob (it's on my ribcage). I think tattoos can be silly/immature (butterly tramp stamp), in poor taste (skulls, gang insignia, anything rasist/homophobic)-- or they can carry significant personal meaning. For instance, my most recent tattoo says, in Latin, "the motherless daughter's power lies within." For anyone on PC who knows my story, it makes a lot of sense. It would definitely put me off if someone had a negative opinion about me because they saw my tattoo and made a snap judgment about me as a result. I think T has a much better attitude. She says that she's not of the generation that got tattoos and doesn't want any herself, but she thinks that my tattoos look beautiful on me. They're also part of what make me "me."
