George is right. He should talk with Social Services in his county and see what kind of help is available. The trouble is, if he's white and has no children he probably won't get any help. That's what my son was told. He had the same problem.
After my son developed numerous other health problems, he got on SSI plus Medicaid. But he had to get REALLY sick before they'd help him. So I guess if you're white with no children, you have to have one foot in the grave before you get any help. Not fair, but that's the system.
