We are in the same position, I am waiting on a date for our final appeal.
Denied, appealed-denied, now re-appealed.

I have been out of work for 3 years because of our sons anxiety and his not being able to attend school. Bankruptcy to save the house-which I hate. We live in the middle of no-where but our payments are cheaper than rent.

Now our son was place in therapeutic foster care last Wednesday. If disability had come through in the beginning he would have had medicaid and we would have been able to get him the help he needs. B/c of private insurance and our co-pays being so expensive we have tried to manage it by just seeing a psychiatrist. But he has been hospitalized 3 times for suicidal thoughts. I wonder if punitive damages can be sought after?
