Also, tell the prescriber that weight gain is an absolute no-no and decide on a strategy on how you will monitor your weight and rule out offending medications quickly, or, balance the weight increasing tendency of some drugs with the weight decreasing tendency of others (Topomax, Wellbutrin for the most part) to stay in the right zone for you.
