I emailed my GP, who was aware of this problem. She immediately emailed me back that it is great news. I thought that was cool. I keep emailing her and asking her questions; my last question was whether I should take up drinking one glass of wine a day to be healthier as I age (there is much evidence for it) in light of the fact that I have a slightly elevated risk of breast cancer (wine in moderation is good for the heart and possibly to prevent Alzheimer's, but bad for people at high risk of breast cancer). She wrote that as far as she is concerned it would be OK but I should check with the p-doc (which I was planning to do any way, it is just not a priority). And I do not see her - I do not have insurance or money to see her out-of-pocket. I last saw he more than a year ago, and she keeps answering my emails. She never gets any money from me, it is almost as if she were doing public service answering my emails. That makes me less angry at her for calling DMV in 2009 and telling them that I am impulsive, which resulted in the loss of the driver's license for almost three years.
