I was on it for the same reason that you were, kinda, I wasn't having my regular periods. Excpet I was having mine all the time. My doc put me on it and it eventually regulated everything. It may take a few months or so to start working and get you back on schedule. That's just what I think. I think your doc is right.. Well I hope this has helped.
