I learned a lot of coping skills and techniques to pull myself out of depressions. And that has worked very well for me over the years. You might be able to find one that works, but sometimes the AD's just don't work for some people. Probably see this more with Bipolar I than II I would think. Sorry that's not real helpful. But I get it, I asked the same question many times.

I'm type 1 as well. At one point they had me on the max dose of effexor, wellbutrin and buspar that just sent me over the edge. Nice trip to the hospital after that, but I was finally diagnosed with Bipolar. Talk about a rapid decrease in meds. They gave me seroquel and abilify while inpt and I couldn't stay awake for nothing. I'm afraid there will be nothing to do for the depression. I already know a lot of the coping skills, but when it grabs hold just taking a shower is a miracle, let alone getting out and trying to be active and social.
