I'm going to recommend an over the counter antihistamine (not Benedryl) that I've used with great success after I stopped Ambien due to a bad reaction. It's called doxylamine succinate and you take one 25mg tablet about a half hour before bedtime. No rebound and it's not addictive. I buy the generic store brand for less than $5 for a month's supply.
