Yes but it only applies if you absolutely have to have your mom's permission/help to seek help. If the answer is yes then talk to her asap.
Explain why you think you need to do this. If she doesn't believe you, accept it... but don't settle for it. There could be alternatives. I'm guessing that you are a student? If so, talk to a counselor.
