I took it for several years and it did absolutely nothing for me - I could have been taking a sugar pill with the same rate of success. No side effects whatsoever, to give it some credit.

Most people who take it though do report that it is helping them, and there have been recent threads about Lamictal/Lamotrigine so while you are waiting for responses you may want to run a search to see old threads.
