I have constant recurring sinus infections about 30 or so a year. When I got my tonsils out the doc said I have the most deviated septum he's ever seen. He thinks that's what causes my horrible allergies and constant infections. He wanted me to have surgery to correct it right away but I have put it off for years.
It's October 24th and I'm on my 38th sinus infection this year. There were only about 10 days between this one and the last one. So I'm ready to bite the bullet and get the surgery.
I'd like to hear from anyone who's had a similar surgery. Did you have to spend time in the hospital or was it outpatient? How bad did it hurt? How long did it take to heal? How long did it hurt? Did you have to miss work? Was it worth it?
I hate doctors and hospitals and really hate being in extra pain. I have enough already without adding to it on purpose! But I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired If this will significantly cut down on the number of infections I get then I really need to do this. I just want to know what to expect. I'd rather hear from the been there done that people than listen to the doctor tell me it'll all be fine it's just routine blah blah blah
