Why'd I ever do that????
Not only are these issues difficult and painful (insert a thousand other adjectives here) to admit to ourselves but explaining and sharing with others is terrifying.
It's a natural reaction to second guess ourselves when we share something so closely guarded for so long.
The "don't tell--why did I do that" are echos from the past.
It's OK to tell now.
I think it is amazing that you were brave enought to share with your friends.
They will now be a stronger support system for you.
If they look at you any differently, I suspect it will be with a new appreciation and respect.
