I keep hearing all about the good things moderate drinking (for a woman or a man >65 y, one 5 oz glass of wine a day, for a younger man, 2 glasses) can bring about as we age. I wrote to my GP and she thought it would be fine but I need to run it by the p-doc. I know from experience that drinking does not affect my mood and does not affect how my medications work. Wine is not very expensive where I live and there do exist wines which I rather like, although I am perfectly wine living without alcohol. So I will run it by the p-doc but in the meantime I am wondering if anyone is drinking in moderation for health and how it affects you if at all.
