Don't just be defeated and stay down but take the initiative and ask if there is any way they could help you make your way there. Take in any possibilities to get there. I don't think they would drop you just like that. And if it doesn't work out at least you know that you have tried everything.
It's really important though that you are not inactive and resign yourself to the fact that you won't be able to work there. If you really think this would be good for you, you can make it happen the first step is already made.

Thanks for the post. And the encouragement. But it is a tiny, extremely busy office; I highly doubt they would have the means to offer transportation, especially to someone almost 20 minutes away. I am going to be up front; my car doesn't work. If it did, I would've already been starting to drive more and maybe able to drive there myself now if it wasn't dead. It's none of their business I have such a problem with driving. This
is my vet, after all; I do have to continue seeing them in the future.
Something may work out somehow soon, it may be months from now. That's the reality, and I'm working on accepting it.
