You are definetely not alone on this subject matter. I to engage in repetitive thoughts when I am nervous, upset, etc. generally when my emotions run high. I use to think it was the obssessive part of my OCD and until my therapist informed me that it actually was the compulsive part of my OCD which does make more sense to me now. These repetitive thoughts are not racing thoughts like you said per say they are thoughts that I engage in when like I said my emotions run high and I have to say these thoughts a certain number of times in my head before I feel comfortable enough to move on.
