I know its frustrating having a degree and not knowing what you want to do, if its any consolation its not you and not just you that this is happening to. here in the USA we are in what is called a recession. part of that is too many people and not enough jobs due to companies goes bankrupt and trying to stay afloat with the least amount of people doing the jobs, and also because of the type of technological age the USA is in.

for example many thousands of thousands of people are now out of jobs, going back to school getting degrees and trying to decide what they want to do because their jobs at a paper mill is now obsolete (no longer needed ) because fewer and fewer paper products are needed. we dont use so much paper products here in the USA as we used to because everything has gone computerized with lap tops, desk computers, tablets/computer type notebooks and now even the paper book market is suffering because we now have kindle and downloading books on computer instead of going out and buying a paper type book.

there are so many people out of work fighting for the same jobs so one out of a thousand might get that job inputting information in a computer or one in a thousand may get that factory job of making computer parts.

so its not just you and its nothing that you are doing wrong. its just very hard to get a job now with so many people out of work due to their old jobs are no longer needed.

suggestion dont worry about that degree, think about the things you like to do and then look for work in that area...example if you like being around children look for a job in day care, nursery schools, elementary schools and other schools. there are lots of jobs in schools that dont need a degree to do, you just need to pass a background check to make sure you are not some criminial. to be a school custodian, or aid.. theres also fast food chains...

I know these lower level type jobs are not what you or others may be looking for but they have three positive things they will never be obsolete there will always be a need for school aids and school custodians/janitors, people to work in the fast food chains, and lower level jobs will have less people competing for those jobs, a steady pay check and it gives a person plenty of time to decide what they want to do with their life, get training in what they want to do.

if lover level jobs isnt your thing to start out with make what ever you like to do into a business. someone I know someone who a yr ago got laid off from her job as a secretary was obsolete in a car rental company that went bankrupt last yr. she loves to make hand made clothing decorations and such, so she started her business out of her living room then branched out, now a yr later she has her own sewing shop where she sells hand made blankets/ quits, clothing, towels, holiday ornaments, ....

I know its hard being out of work and you are not alone and its not just you...
i dont have money for a business and wouldn't know what to do. what i like to do? good question lol. recession, well, i call it a depression in america because it is not really going anywhere right now. someone i met through my bf feels i'd be good at being a distributor. well, i dont have sales experience and i still have issues speaking confidently and without fear.

i am still talking and going through this issue day to day and still talking to my therapist about it. i did an exercise in her office and have to do them outside too and she found out more deep rooted issues about myself. i told her if my interpersonal skills were up to par like it was when i was a kid, i wouldn't have a problem selling or doing anything that involves with speaking to a lot of people daily.

i said right now, how do u do that when you were lied to about life and sheltered as a kid? i told her very hard to have a sound mind. we do talk about jobs issues. i am gonna contact the woman that my bf knows about the distributor. the prob i hate with those is where am i gonna get x amount of dollars to do it? distributor is the same thing as a consultant, it takes money to start/run your own business and keep getting customer/clients.

well, i honestly do not know what i want to do. i wrote things for my therapy session that i strived to be but it didn't happen it seems to be fairytale is what i told her although it may not be. lower level jobs have a high volume of resumes coming in so it is not easy trying to get a low paying job. i have applied to them never heard from them or did hear from them, all they wanted to do is ask me questions on the phone but felt i wasnt good for them.

i told my therapist with the way things are, how do i make things happen with no money? i am still borrowing money that i do not have and can not pay back! how do u pay the way to anything when there are no resources and everything here in AZ is for single mothers or low income families not for someone with no kids?

i said to her what paving the way? still very hard to get a job anywhere it is low paying or decent pay. experience is and still working against me
Thanks for this!
