I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it).
I like these both so much. My gramma told me one day about confronting someone who worked at a bank or maybe a restaurant, telling them what needed to be changed, not quite sure. Anyway, I laughed and said, "Gramma!" "When you get to be my age, you just don't care anymore," she winked. Touche. I'm looking forward to that phase of my life.
