Hi, also.
Morethingswrong is on target for suggested help for you, in my view. Having blood work done soon is very important. I would ask for testing of HDL, LDL levels, vitamins A, B, C, D, fatty acids, lithium, iron, and glucose levels. There are probably many other things your internist (I hope you're seeing one) may want to check, as well.
Once you have the information on the bloodwork tests then I would see a psychiatrist if any of the responses indicate that you may be low in lithium, high in glucose levels, low in any of the tested vitamins, or unusual lipid levels. A test for folic acid (one of the B vitamins) is important, but more about that at another time.
Your wish to feel better is the best indication that you're ready to meet the challenges of getting your blood chemistry levels in acceptable ranges for maximum health.
Depression can cause the tears to flow, and I know that is bothersome for you.
I hope you will make this a project for yourself so that you will become far happier and more content with your life.
One thing you might do before doing anything else is to eliminate the artificial sweeteners from your diet. Stop drinking the sodas, please, because only one of the artificial sweeteners to date has been shown not to be harmful: Stevia. Aspartame, for me, will cause the tears to flow strongly. And it is one of the artificial sweeteners used most abundantly in diet soft drinks.
You might have a sensitivity to them and not be aware of it. (There are many other possibilities, as well.)
Good wishes in your efforts.
