I'm in florida, about 30 mins from the beach, and decided to go out there to the beach tonight and see the hurricane for myself. All I could say is wow. That was very fun and intense. We're only getting rain bands here in Daytona but the winds were a sustained 30 mph, with gusts up to 40-50.

I haven't felt that good in a while. Despite the chaos, I was loving it. The wind made the rain literally go sideways, and it was enough to hold me up when I leaned back or push me forward as I went with the wind. I tried to get some pics and videos but it's dark, and I didn't bring my good camera with me, so I didn't get much. I'll try tomorrow during the day if it's still affecting us. I wish we didn't have to leave lol. I walked along the boardwalk a bit, and even along the shore- until salt water hit my eyes. We even saw one of the news reporters out there broadcasting live. They said the winds were worse earlier in the day, but there's still been a lot of storm damage.

There's just something exhilarating about chaotic conditions like that. Now, if it were any stronger - like 70 sustained? I wouldn't go out there, it was dangerous to drive up there with it being 30 sustained even. But I felt at peace out there. Like the chaos outside balanced out the inner chaos and made me feel "normal" for once.

That was just too fun.
