I finally called the vet's today and told the receptionist I'd been offered a job by so-and-so and my car's dead so I cannot accept the job, but emphasized my gratitude that she considered me. The receptionist asked my name, so the woman will know I returned the call.

Thankfully, I didn't have to actually talk to the woman who called me initially. I was nervous about that.

My bf is on vacation this week, so hopefully the only problem w/the car is the battery, and I can start driving again, and maybe soon will turn into a normal thing for me again.
