Like you said, at least it's not empty calories.

You might get a little container some a RubberMaid dish or something you could put a handful of grapes in to have with you while you surf the internet. When that's done, if you're still hungry, get some more, if not, make yourself wait a certain amount of time till you eat again. Also, have a cup of tea or something that doesn't have any calories so you feel like you're being deprived.

One of the most important things you can do for yourself in controlling your weight is NOT attaching moral value to various foods such as deciding it's wrong to eat chocolate unless you have a physical or moral reasons to do so--hope that makes sense. By allowing yourself the freedom to eat what you want, when you want it, you lessen the chances of overeating because you're satisfied. You also want to be sure and eat when you're hungry.
