OCD?

Although I was diagnosed with OCD back when I was institutionalized, I haven't read much about it, because it has been drowned out by all the other issues I have, and from what I know it is difficult to make the distinction between symptoms of OCD and Asperger's Syndrome.

For whatever reason, I have always had this obsessive need for everything to be symmetrical and in straight lines, and it can sometimes cause me issues. It's not as bad as it used to be, but the need for it is still there, and it can still cause me some difficulties throughout the day. Currently, one of the more noticeable symptoms of this is with my eye-glasses; I detest that my face is crooked and they won't sit on me evenly! (I tried contacts - that didn't work…) It's not above me to sit in front of a mirror and use a measuring tape to determine if my glasses are sitting evenly on my face. But it doesn't end there. If I had more control of the decor in our house, it would all be symmetrical and in straight lines, or as much as I possibly could. Even outside the house, I can fixate on straight lines, whether it be in sidewalks, offices, etc. If I could, my entire world would be symmetrical, even-numbered, 90˚ angles. No curves, odd numbers, or anything out of place.

Is this a symptom of OCD?
