You're being very brave. I do want to warn you that a lot of p docs frown on diagnosing BP in ppl under 18. They really didnt want to add that to my own daughter's diagnosis after the fire and all but when they saw that this was fourth generation BP female they gave in and said ya, we think you're right. So dont feel discouraged if they give a more "teenager" appropriate dx, they will still treat you with probably the exact same med and the same counseling techniques as if they had written Bipolar I (or II) on your chart. (I am assuming from what you have said b4 that you are under 18, please forgive me if I'm wrong). If this is what happens you can always ask for a re-eval after you turn 18 if you feel you are BP and you are concerned with having the correct label attached to the disorder you are experiencing
