I tend to avoid people too. Is it possible that you could call the office and speak to the nurse? maybe you could explain that you are struggling but really nervous to come in and see the doctor. It is never an easy thing to talk about but they are used to seeing all sorts of people in all sorts of circumstances. I hope you can find the courage to go in if you need to.
