I have been taking Klonopin 3-4 times a week for OCD anxiety since 2003. When I am feeling anxious I usually take 1-2 mg. It works well and provides quick relief. I have yet to have to increase my dosage due to habituation but at the same time I can get "withdrawal" edginess if I go too long without it.
I think if one's anxiety was acute, I would start off taking Klonopin each day to prevent anxiety which I did for the first year I was on it. The main reason I don't take it every day is that it interacts with my other meds and I get very sleepy.
