sometimes these movie makers have experienced the same earlier in their life, and by making a movie about it they are hoping to educate others of the evilness around them, its not always meant nastily.

even though a majority of film makers are out to make money, some are educational. i have seen films where i think "that is just wrong"£ and i tend to go off the film, but some i see and think "aww thats a good way to educate and express certain subjects"

it depends on the film i suppose and how its interpreted by the individual. its natural to be effected by things in films, and i cant say how to avoid this except to research the film a little about the contents and if they are triggering to you, try to stay away from them.

im sorry you had to see that, it does effect people more than these filmmakers realise sometimes.
