This may sound a bit weird, but I have had that same reaction to a book. The book is called Speak. I read it because the author is my favorite. And when the worst part of it triggered me I was in school. It was the worst feeling ever, I felt helpless and unreal. Everyone asked me what was wrong, but I couldnt say. So now when I read I make sure what the book is really about.
A couple of weeks ago, I saw an advertisment for the premire of Speak on tv. Someone had made it into a movie, and just seeing that ad. triggered me all over again. It drives me insane.
So I know how you feel, and Im sorry that you have to feel that way, it stinks out loud!
