I had this procedure too, tho no polyps. I did have several biopsies taken. I was in quite a bit of pain for a few days after. I do think the cleansing contributed to that. The other thing that went wrong was that the Versed did not work as intended, it is supposed to create an amnesia effect. Well I became aware during the procedure, confused and freaked out, terrified, I tried to crawl off the stretcher for quite a few minutes before they could give me more. It was very scary, but I think that may have also contributed to the pain after. Also when i did become aware I also was in extreme pain, and the dr was being very rough, which of course was not what I had expected, so some pain makes some sense. Actually Versed does not cause you to not feel the pain, they also use Fentanyl which is an analgesic, so it would not seem like a painful procedure if that is what was used. But from what I experienced, the procedure itself can be very rough and painful.
