Well, I discontinued the Invega over 7 months ago, and the symptoms have only gotten worse. My fingers and toes move constantly to the point where they hurt. I continually lick my lips, chew my lips and inner cheeks until they bleed. And now I'm making these lovely moaning noises.

My pdoc has not given me any medication for this. He said it would go away on its own, which obviously it hasn't. Any suggestions? I'm pissed and terrified.
There was a study done using high doses of vitamin E to treat tardive dyskensia with reasonable success. The patients took approximately 2,000 IUs a day.

You might also see if you can get a vitamin injection called a Myers Cocktail that contains high doses of magnesium along with various other nutrients as the doctors chooses to meet your nutritional needs. Magnesium calms the muscles, and might help the TD.

The amino acid taurine also helps twitching problems.

Twenty-five percent of movement disorders caused by meds are permanent so don't if you experience one, deal with it ASAP!
