I'm sorry you're feeling so lonely. I can relate. I live alone and have a physcial illness so I don't get out much. I'm not close to my family.
Here's some suggestions:
Online forums/chat
Internet dating (but be careful and try to get yourself in a better place first)
Penpal sites (writing and receiving letters can feel connecting)
Start a college course (distance learning)
Help others in same situation
It's not easy I know, just spent an evening crying in front of the TV and this is after six years alone, but things do get easier if you reach out to others. Being alone doesn't always mean lonely, I sort of like having my own space but it can also be tough.
