Other than some bad press recently linking adderall to some previously unnoticed side effects in children, everything I've read about adderall indicates it has been used for years without any serious addiction.
I've used it for 2 years with no problems.
For me, though, it doesn't curb my appetite, so you may find that part will wear off for you eventually.
