Hire a lawyer and let them take 20-30 percent backpay. 1st rejection is common and it usually takes 2-3 years for acceptance. I heard getting ssdi is harder without a lawyer.

There is a forum on here that deals with ssdi/ssi/finances with some members who have a lot of knowledge about the process.
