and exactly what harm is this doing anyone? after all, people do this all the time and call it religion.

as long as he is not harming himself or anyone else by his pursuits, he has the right to them. if you or others find him annoying, well, so be it -- some of us find the oh-so-socially-acceptable football and celebrity obsessions vacuous, stupid and annoying too.
