Maven, Yes you can, actually I don't think they actually knock people out for this. The meds they tend to give people block pain, or try to block the memory, sometimes they use both. If they give you something like Versed, then you will seem to loose consciousness, it is used to produce amnesia. I would look that up before ever being given it, just to be sure it's something you would want to take. Well I would look up all meds before taking them. You can ask your doctor about which medications would be used.
