Well, no, it's a fair bit up to the Circle... that is, I think it's far (955 kilometers - I tried converting distances and I think it is 593 miles) but I'm of course much closer than you are I've never been north of the pole circle, so I've never seen the midnight sun. But in the summer it never gets completely dark, even though the sun isn't up... you get a couple of hours of a kind of dusk some time after midnight but it's light enough to read by (which is of course the only important thing )
