WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so awesome, I am SO proud of you! 30 days was the hardest milestone for me. I'm so happy to hear that you got a sponsor, it's so much easier then trying to go it alone. This forum here will be a big help also! Post anything you need help with or just need to vent, or just keep us posted! I also found a 12 step chat that helped a lot when I couldn't get to a meeting or just needed to talk. it's here:

www.12steps.org

Please feel free to PM me anytime. Jump into those steps to keep getting the relief. Got to lots of meetings and get lots of phone numbers and build a network of people around you. Those people I met in early sobriety were my lifesavers and the people I love to see at meetings. I found that my routines were killing me. When I walked in the house, my routine was to walk into the kitchen and get a beer. So I started keeping chocolate soy milk in the fridge. Don't ask me why that was a comfort, but it was. I had to keep stuff with flavor in the kitchen to drink hahaaha. Iced tea, sodas. My first sponsor pounded in my head to drink plenty of water, and to this day you'll never find me without a water bottle. It takes time for your body to purge all the chemicals and start feeling "normal". The first couple months are hard, I won't lie, but whatever you do, don't quit before the miracle. Ring your sponsor off the hook if need be. I was constantly on the phone with my new friends. I didn't go to my old hangouts. Just meetings and coffee after the meetings. You can do it, you're on a brilliant road!!! Please keep writing and let us know how you're doing. And always remember, when you talk to another alcoholic/addict, you're helping us too. Keep coming back!!!!!

~Rayna

PS- I thought I'd never have fun again, but now that I'm sober, I have so much fun, AND I get to remember every minute of it. =)
